Boise State students can still get tickets for former Vice President Al Gore's Jan. 22 speech at the Taco Bell Arena. The Frank Church Institute set aside 2,000 student tickets for Gore's address on global warming. All general admission tickets are sold out.
Students can pick up free tickets (maximum two per person) with ID at either the Student Union Info Desk or the Taco Bell Arena Box Office. A total of 500 tickets are available now; the remaining 1,500 tickets will be released at 10 a.m. Tuesday to allow returning students the opportunity to attend the address.
Gore will deliver the keynote address for a daylong conference titled "Global Warming: Beyond the Inconvenient Truth," sponsored by the Frank Church Institute. Conference sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Gore's address, which requires a ticket, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Taco Bell Arena; doors open at 5:30 p.m.
