Obama names staff for Iowa campaign
DES MOINES, Iowa Senator Barack Obama today named two key members of a staff that would head his campaign for Iowa's leadoff precinct caucuses.
Obama said last weekend that he would announce a decision on whether to seek the Democratic presidential nomination on February Tenth.
The Illinois Democrat named Paul Tewes as state director and Emily Parcell as Iowa political director.
Tewes is a native of southern Minnesota. He was caucus manager for Al Gore's 2000 campaign in Iowa. He worked for the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee, and served for two years as its political director.
Parcell is from Iowa and worked on Senator Tom Harkin's 2002 election campaign. She also worked on the 2004 caucus campaign of former Representative Dick Gephardt.
