U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will make a campaign stop in the Quad-Cities on Sunday, a campaign spokesman said Tuesday.
Clinton, D-N.Y., who announced Saturday that she was in the race, is planning a two-day swing through Iowa this weekend.
Her campaign has already announced she’ll be in Des Moines for a 12:30 p.m. event Saturday at Des Moines East High School.
She’s also expected to be in Cedar Rapids.
The campaign hasn’t released a schedule for Sunday yet, including the time and place of her visit, but a spokesman did confirm she will be in Davenport.
The details will likely come today.
Local Democrats say her campaign has been making inquiries about churches and hotels.
Clinton’s visit will come as the Democratic field starts to get crowded.
Already, former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack has announced his candidacy, as have former U.S. Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio.
Also, U.S. Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., Joe Biden, D-Del., and Chris Dodd, D-Conn., have given strong indication they will run.
So has New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.
