Obama followed by media pack on Capitol Hill
Obama followed by media pack on Capitol Hill WASHINGTON Senator Barack Obama (ber-AHK' oh-BAH'-muh) avoided the media after announcing that he would form a presidential exploratory committee. A day later, swarms of reporters followed him wherever he went.
Obama attended a routine committee hearing today and a weekly Democratic caucus lunch on Capitol Hill.
After the lunch, the senator from Illinois offered little insight about his budding campaign.
One reporter asked how he would balance a presidential campaign with his duties as a father. Obama said those are the kinds of considerations he's taking into account.
The senator didn't directly answer another question about a proposal from Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to cap the number of troops in Iraq.
An official announcement about Obama's campaign is expected February tenth in Springfield.
