Manchester – The day after Hillary Clinton finishes her first trip in 10 years to the first-in-the-nation primary state, Barack Obama will arrive for his second visit in two months.
UnionLeader.com has learned that Obama will attend a house party in Nashua and a town hall-style gathering at the University of New Hampshire in Durham on Monday, Feb. 12.
Clinton is scheduled to campaign in New Hampshire on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11.
Obama was last in the state on Dec. 10, when he keynoted a rally for the New Hampshire Democratic Party.
He is scheduled to formally announce his candidacy on Saturday in Springfield, Ill., and then travel to first-caucus state Iowa. He will return to Chicago on Sunday for a key fund-raiser before coming to New Hampshire on Monday.
Obama’s campaign released its schedule late this afternoon, noting that the Nashua house party is by invitation only.
State Rep. Bette Lasky confirmed to UnionLeader.com that she will host the afternoon party, but she also stressed that due to space consideration, only invited guests will be allowed to enter.
The UNH town hall meeting will be held at the Durham school's field house beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Obama campaign said that beginning Wednesday, the general public can obtain tickets at the Memorial Union Building ticket office or information booth between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, by calling the New Hampshire Democratic Party at 225-6899, or by going to the Democratic Party headquarters at 2 1/2 Beacon Street, Concord.
