Clinton Draws Overflow Crowd In Iowa
Jan. 27 - Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton drew an enthusiastic, overflow crowd at a high school as she made her first campaign foray into Iowa.
She drew loud cheers from the crowd of roughly one-thousand when she repeated that she's "in it to win it."
Earlier she met with local Democrats at the party's headquarters where she dealt head-on with her vote to authorize the war in Iraq. She declined to defend that vote, saying "there are no do-overs in Life."
Some of her rivals, like former Senator John Edwards, have conceded the vote was a mistake.
Clinton says Democrats must nominate someone who inspires "trust and confidence" on security issues. She says Democrats will face "someone on the other side who will be very tough and strong" and cannot concede the issue to Republicans.
Iowa's first-in-the nation presidential caucuses will be held in a little less than a year.
